Last week, Year 5 completed their Bikeability course where every child passed level 2! The children spent the first day practising their skills on the playground and then progressed to cycling on the roads. All of the children showed great resilience when being faced with oncoming traffic and every one of them remained calm whilst completing each manoeuvre. Recently, our Year 5/6 girls football team went across to Sir Francis Hill to play a 6-pointer fixture. Team Witham battled hard during the first half but ultimately lost. However, during the second half, the girls rallied to win with a last-minute penalty. The children in the foundation stage have had a wonderful minibeast day today! We have worked with staff from ‘wild in the woods’ to use a drill to make a ladybird home, painted stones to make our own minibeasts, searched for minibeasts and pond dipped in the Witham woods, built a plant pot minibeast home, and tasted honey!
